Minneapolis May 2013

We got back late last night from a fun weekend in Minneapolis celebrating my big sister's graduation from law school. She graduated summa cum laude! We are so proud of you, Elizabeth! I know these past few years couldn't have been easy -- and not only did you survive them -- you truly knocked 'em out of the park. Congratulations on a job well done!!!!! We know you have a bright future ahead of you!
After graduation we had a meal at Timber Lodge Steakhouse (the one in Sioux Falls closed a while back, and this meal made me miss it! Best steak I've had in a long time) The next morning we had Starbucks and donuts to start the day (every time we go to Minneapolis this is how we start our day I think), played a little xbox Kinect Ping-Pong, and then went to the Lion's Tap for what my brother-in-law and sister have always said is the "best burger they've ever had." Literally the only things on the menu are burgers, fries, and drinks -- but I must admit it is really good!

After that, we went to Minnehaha Falls. In all my trips up to Minneapolis throughout my lifetime I had never been there. It was so beautiful and fun, and it had a nice biking/walking trail that led to a great view of the Mississippi River.

After cooling off with some DQ, we headed to the Medford Outlet mall to shop for a bit, and then we headed home. For about a 24-hour trip, we sure got a lot done!
